I have been at LCA for a total of six years, though not consecutively. LCA has enabled me to understand my faith better through Bible classes– Apologetics, in particular. LCA has an amazing way of bringing its students closer to God and strengthening their faith [through] weekly chapel, school retreats, and [because] the teachers incorporate faith into every subject and class. It has all had a good influence on me, and has immensely deepened my relationship with God.

I think God brought me to LCA as a foreign/exchange student in 2010 because He cares and He had good things in store for me. I’m beyond humbled every time I look back at this unbelievable journey – all the changes to my plans and leaps of faith. He wanted me to discover my passion, to be in a supportive environment where my interests and strengths would help me flourish rather than hinder my growth, to be a good man, and to have a new life in every sense.

Mainstay Technologies just hired another LCA grad. We now have a cadre of thoughtful, hard working, values-based team members who are LCA grads! For a company with very high standards, strong growth, hundreds of applicants to most openings, a foundation in values, and a recruiting process where it’s the team who makes the final hiring decisions, it says a lot about LCA that we would employ 7 graduates of such a small school! 1/8th of our company is LCA alum. And they’re all growing and flourishing in a challenging workplace. Speaks well of the school, and I’m very grateful for all that was poured into each of these individuals!”

As a student, my years at Laconia Christian Academy were enhanced by the relationships I had with my teachers. They encouraged my talent in writing, guided me in my creativity, and challenged me to think through philosophies of history in light of Scripture. It is because of their care and attention, that I went on to study education at Cairn University and a Master’s of liberal arts at St John’s College in Annapolis. I spent six years in Vienna, Austria at the International Christian School of Vienna teaching high school geography and history, before I felt called back to teach in the very place –LCA– that was so special and formative for me as a student.

We recently made the transition from homeschooling to having our three oldest children attend LCA. The faculty and staff have created age-appropriate environments that have enabled our children to thrive in the new setting. Our youngest is part of the preschool program and has been nurtured by the thoughtful and loving teachers. We appreciate that LCA gives them ample time outdoors — like the extra recess on the playground before school starts.
